Introducing Mia

Everyone, this is our daughter!

Mia Elisabeth Pizarro was born Sunday, October 25, at 6:50 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and she was 20 inches long. I have so much I want to write about the past five days that it feels like my head could burst. But if I don't squeeze in a nap this afternoon, I'm in for a scolding from my husband. So for now I'll just say we're home, we're tired, and we are having a ball with this little girl.

p.s. Mia is already making headlines ... check out her dad's last column before his paternity leave!

She looks absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to all. You will be wonderful parents -- Mia is a lucky girl already.

PS: Not sure what I'm more impressed with -- the idea behind Sal's nicely-written column or the fact that he apparently has two months off (!?!?)

You guys do good work! She is absolutely beautiful and certainly someone you won't want to take your eyes off any time soon. That being said, I only have two words of advice that have remained prominent for me over the 15 years I've been a mother...DON'T BLINK!

It will never stop amazing you just how quickly the time passes. One minute I'm holding Cole in my arms and the next, I'm looking up at the young man he's become--now towering over me. So drink it all up, savor every drop of this little treasure you've been blessed with.

Looking forward to babysitting...

Kymberli
